Designer Profile
For Catherine, interior design is not just an art. It’s an act of creativity tempered by astute professionalism and an unwavering regard to the authentic nature of her clients. She listens intently to translate their histories, desires, passions and goals into a beautifully appointed space they will love to live in.
Known for her impeccable taste and attention to details, Cleare interior is experienced with designing interiors in a wide range of styles, from traditional and transitional to historic and formal. Through her 25 years as an interior designer, she has created elegant interiors for New York City dwellings to classic country homes along the East Coast.
While Catherine’s interior designs are informed by each client’s unique style, her signature use of detailed design features and the decorative arts define her exclusive interiors. She escorts clients through the entire design process with thoughtful attention to space, scale, architecture, location, budget and personal tastes. Through her experience, Catherine has built an extensive network of artisans, craftsmen, and antique dealers to help realize her one-of a-kind interiors. Believing that visionary design should work seamlessly with history and architecture, Catherine tastefully balances classic design elements with an inventive use of color, fabrics, furniture and finishes.
Catherine is an allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and graduate of Endicott College and Paier college of Art. Her designs have been featured on HGTV and in premier publications such as the Robb Report, Design Times and New York Living. Catherine believes in giving back to the community. She donates her time and talents as chairwoman to the “Women and Company” program for the American Cancer Society in Fairfield and Litchfield counties, and mentors students at the Endicott College of Interior Design every year.
