Soudi Amini’s fascination with architecture and design began as a young girl marveling over mosques, palaces, tile work and ancient Persian and Islamic architecture in Iran, her native Middle East home. The feelings and moods that those wonderful buildings and gardens evoked created a sense of awe in the young, artistic Soudi as she absorbed the fervor of the city.
Today, Soudi is the founder and principal of Soudi Amini Design LLC, a full service design studio that offers the expertise and wisdom of an architectural and interior designer with over 20 years of experience, designing a broad variety of projects ranging from residential, corporate, retail design and renovations in New York and Connecticut.
Soudi’s design approach is driven by highly developed sensitivity to clients’ perceptions, desires and needs. She is a master at balancing aesthetic and functional sensitivities in concert with creativity, objectivity and functional utility. Soudi believes it is possible to create luxurious space without expending tremendous resources, and to complete no-frills projects with extreme cost-savings, if you know where and how to maximize efficiency.
She combines elements of design from her extensive travel and unites both past and present through mixing period and contemporary pieces. Her imaginative mixes of color and texture work together to provide clients with livable, relaxing, glamorous and sophisticated space.
Soudi holds an undergraduate degree in architecture from New York Institute of Technology and a graduate degree in architecture and interior design from City College of New York. She is an Allied Member of American Society of Interior Design (ASID).
