Legislation
ASID.org provides interior design talking points to assist you with advocacy efforts. These talking points address many aspects of the interior design profession, including its professional standards and its benefit to consumers, as well as legislative issues. This information can be used to promote interior design legislation and inform interior designers, students of interior design, legislators and the public of the qualifications and benefits of the interior design profession.
ASID has developed a PowerPoint presentation to accompany these handouts titled, “Interior Design Legislation: What It Is and Why It’s Important to YOU.” The presentation is geared toward students and discusses what interior design legislation is, why it’s important to a student’s future career and how students can get involved in protecting and advancing their profession. To obtain a copy of the presentation, contact the government and public affairs department at (202)-546-3480 or via e-mail at gpa@asid.org.
